Chris and Zoe Lomas started Reach My Street back in 2019, teaming up with the Potters Hands, providing food to impoverished families across Hampshire. It soon grew, helping to alleviate the devastating effects of poverty across the region. Today the charity reaches more than 400 people every week, giving access to nutritious food to vulnerable families who struggle to put food on the table.
The effects of COVID now means more and more people are in need of support and none more than the orphans in Moldova and Romania, with thousands each week being abandoned by parents so poor they can no longer look after them. On learning the plight of so many defenceless young children, Chris and Zoe decided to give up everything; a successful business and flourishing career, to relocate to Moldova and help build more than 50 homes for many hundreds of desperate children.

Peter Jones, Dragons' Den
If you give a man a fish, he will eat for a day; but if you teach a man to fish, he will eat for a lifetime..
Our objective isn't simply to give people what they need, but to equip them to provide for themselves. Since his appearance on Dragons' Den, Chris has travelled the world equipping companies and entrepreneurs to be successful.
Part of our strategy is to run workshops in which house parents will learn to be self sufficient, working with them to identify their skills and talents and to take simple and practical steps to help generate wealth.
Grave-yards are full of great ideas, with everyone capable of changing their circumstances. Quite often it's as simple as having someone to help you spot your potential and that's what we plan to do.
Self belief can move mountains and there is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone achieve their full potential.
Chris has demonstrated throughout his career, an ability to spot talent and working alongside people to identify and achieve their dreams.
Although Chris left without investment, the Dragons were clearly impressed with his business acumen.
